I don't know if Cyber Monday is as big as all the hype I have been hearing about it and maybe it's just a flash in the pan.

But I know I could go to the websites of the different Big Box stores and search around but does anyone know of any websites that list the really killer good deals if there are any today?

1. I have always had luck and satisfaction with Overstock. No problems
with payment, etc. Many items are also free shipping and they're having good sales right now.

6. Here's where to buy just about anything at wholesale and below
Aid & Trade Wholesalers & Dropshippers

This a great resource for Ebay sellers, flea market sellers and shop owners also. It costs a little bit to join, but the benefits far outweigh the cost. You gain access to 1000's of legitimate wholesalers who have just about anything you want or need.

7. I have a small
"holiday" business that I operate out of my home. I make wreaths, swags, ceramic Santas, and many other ornaments. I usually do it for craft shows, like the one I will be doing this weekend here in my home town. However, the lady at my bank wants to buy one of my wreaths as well as a few others. I would love to be able to sell them online too. I put a lot of work into them and personalize the wreath to the theme that they want. My husband likes the Carolina Panthers, so I am making a wreath lined with Panther decor (of course, this one will have to go in "his space" and not on the door:D)

I went in Target the other day, and the wreaths there are NOT ONLY made in China, but they aren't that great (just my personal opinion:)

Wouldn't it be a great idea to be able to shop from AMERICAN made products if you could? What if those here on DU bought from others here who operate a business in the US this Christmas, rather than buy products made in China? I think it's a great idea and I know many who are hurting financially would benefit from it. Just a thought.

If you are interested in seeing any of my holiday decor, just PM me.

:hi:

8. Buying from other DUers sounds like a great idea to me....
I can hook you up with a storefront script for a website if you need it. You can see a demo of it here: http://www.offrampbums.com/demo/index.php

I have some black walnut boards that I'm going to be making some coat racks, key hangers and "Welcome" plaques out of. What do you think of a solid black walnut coat rack with brass or antique brass hooks? I have about 150 rough cut boards that are 8 to 10 feet in length and 6 inches wide. I mill them down, plane them and sand them. All natural wood. I'll put a clear coat on them sometimes.. I also have some black walnit, cedar, oak & cherry jewelry boxes and glass topped display cases for pistols, knives, jewelry, etc... I'll have to take some pics and post them.

10. Cool...
it's a pretty basic script, but it's easy to use for beginners. It has no shipping calculator or anything, so I just add a few dollars to the price to cover the shipping...

15. I don't make anything, but I think this is a great idea...
Would love to see some organized list of "DUer" goods I could buy for xmas gifts. Would way rather buy from you creative folks than from a big box store. I try to buy a lot of local stuff, and will do that this year, too, but I would also buy some items from DUers.

16. That sounds really cool..
I was going to try to do some mosaic work with some granite and/or marble. I'm starting to dabble a little bit with some custom made granite tables, such as coffee tables, end tables and hallway vase stands. I may even try to do a top for an island in a kitchen, but this stuff is HEAVY! It's anywhere from one inch to an inch and a half thick...

Can you post some pics of your work?

PEACE!

Ghost

12. I like Fatwallet.com
Slickdeals.net is also a useful site for discussing the latest bargains. IMHO, the Cyber Monday deals are mostly underwhelming this year.

18. fatwallet.com and slickdeals.net, those are the two biggest,
anandtech.com has a hot deal forum that is more computer components oriented.

Unfortunately, it facilitates material addiction to peruse the deal sites all the time. Sometimes you get in on a killer deal, other times you con yourself into thinking you need more junk just because it's cheap.

14. Gottadeal.com
Click on the forums. Lots of links to sales both online and off. Also can find coupons/codes to get discounts from certain sites.
