Poll question: Gore Supporters : What's your choice?
Now that its safe to say he wont be in the race(sadly), who will you as a Gore supporter choose to back now?

...

oh, and even if you DO think Gore will still run... who would ya pick if you couldnt pick Gore ;)
so no arguements about him running in this thread!

1. Gore 2000. Dean 2004. Kucinich 2008
If either Gore or Dean suddenly jumped into this race, I might have to reconsider. But since that does not appear likely in either case, Dennis is the best candidate in the race.

2. If we get Kucinich in 2008, will it be Ron Paul in 2009?
If Dennis ends up getting the nomination and runs with Ron Paul, he better not ride on any small planes.

3. DK wouldn't run with Ron Paul
Except on the war Paul and Kuchinch are opposites.

4. Then why did his wife and the Cleveland Plain Dealer say
Dennis is considering it? Are they lying?

5. "Considering" is just that -- considering. Let's wait and see IF he makes a formal
announcement, then this debate would be valid. Until then, it's just conjecture.

8. Would you be upset if Biden's wife said he was considering running with Dick Cheney?
And then a Delaware newspaper quoted him as saying as much? Maybe it wouldn't bother you since considering is just considering, but it would bother me.

9. I don't know if it would "bother" me - but I wouldn't like it. BUT, if that was what
he WAS considering I'd want to know because I don't think I could back a candidate who would choose Ron Paul as a running mate.

7. sorry I didn't see that, but I would lose respect for him if he did have Paul
as his running mate. Paul may be right on the war but he's wrong on a hundred other things. If DK wants somebody anti-war as a running mate there are many in the Democratic party he could choose from including my own Senator, Russ Feingold.

11. A criticism I've heard about Dennis is his unwillingness to compromise. His
SCHIP vote would be an example -- there were parts of it he wasn't in agreement with, so he voted NO against the entire thing.

In THEORY I love that, with the reality of how our Congress works, though, I don't think it's the best approach. Although he can do that now as a Congressman, which I applaud, I fear that inflexibility wouldn't serve us well if he were to become president.

I'll take this opportunity to say I think the current system sucks -- they cram so many little things into those resolutions and bills that they essentially have our representatives over a barrel. Ideally THAT is what should be changed, so people CAN vote their convictions without having to compromise on the finer points.

14. Probably.
It wasn't actually IN the PD - only in the PD blogs. In any case Cleveland PD has a VAST history shilling for the RW while smearing Progressives, especially in the blogs and extra-specially the two RW twits who wrote the hit-piece... They don't like Kooch too much AT ALL. You see lots of "Comrade Kucinich" and crap like that.

I don't think they can be taken seriously.

Go, DENNIS, GO!!!

17. Damn, you think Elizabeth is lying. I'll give you props for saying it
But why would she do it? Why hasn't Dennis refuted it?

And actually, it is in the PD, and not just a blog.

20. That's NOT the PD. Do you ever post anything true?
Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 03:25 PM by AlertLurker
It's the affiliated cleveland.com website.

Elizabeth was not lying - I do believe Mr. Kucinich might consider running with him under certain circumstances...like after BushCo burn down the WH!

I liked the byline, too - "Plain Dealer Washington Bureau" (like there is any such thing!) - these are two whackjobs that write Dem hit pieces for the PD BLOGSPOT. A year ago they were shilling for Voinovich, Blackwell, Ney, etc. I could not find a single article they have ever written for the actual print edition of the PD. They are not even listed as being ON STAFF at the PD.

"I'm thinking about Ron Paul" is the only direct quote these asshats have come up with...that's it:

"I'm thinking about Ron Paul."

Maybe he was fantasizing about a threesome?

...the point is, who the fuck KNOWS? Certainly not Sabrina Eaton and Stephen Koff - if THEY actually exist...

Support Dennis Kucinich (Your Country Will Thank-You For It)

10. Are you going to start this shit in every thread?
Why is the sky blue?
"I don't know, but it will change to magenta if Dennis Kucinich runs with Ron Paul."

Give it a rest already.

which has been lying about and smearing DK throught his entire career.

23. His wife didn't say anything of the kind. Stop lying about her.
We've been over this before in another thread. All she did was respond hastily to a stupid set-up question, leaving all posibilities open.

18. I'll stop when
Dennis supporters stop spreading their "Dennis is the only Democrat running" lies all over DU.

I take this personally because I witnessed what a disappointing, ineffectual mayor he was. Most DUers only know about his voting record.

Well screw you and your pack of lies about DK.

I imagine if I put you on "ignore", half of the posts in threads about DK would magically disappear.

Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 01:48 PM by Tesha
Mr. Tesha and I are New Hampshire primary voters. We'd both
like to vote for Kucinich but speaking just for myself, I'd
*CONSIDER* casting a vote for Edwards if the polling shows
that he's close enough to de-rail her highness's nomination.

But if Hillary is still running away with it in the Granite
State, I'll be voting for Kuch in the Primary and T.B.D. in
the General.

in that case it will be Edwards.
