I'm sure many of you have heard various soldiers appearing on radio talk shows and other media outlets, claiming that the situation in Iraq is peachy keen. I know that the military usually instructs its members on addressing the media, so it doesn't seem too far-fetched that they would encourage them to put a positive spin on their experiences. I'm sorry, but hearing some soldier's heart-warming story about being invited to dinner by some Iraqi family doesn't diminish the overall picture of the failure that is the illegal occupation of Iraq.
Besides, isn't this the same military that was caught "planting" false stories into various media outlets in the Middle East?
