Now That Hunting Season Is Mostly Over
As a followup to my "Many A Deer Will Die Today" post from last thursday I thought it would be good to add this bit of information. So far in the season: One hunter was shot and killed in the state, three have died of heart attacks while hunting, one fell out of a tree-stand and was killed. I believe that these numbers are lower than ususal, but the season isn't over yet. I'll keep you all informed.

1. How many people died driving to work last week in WV?
Or had heart attacks while having sex?
Or choked to death eating turkey on Thanksgiving?

Don't concentrate on just one activity; people die all the time doing things they like.

2. But I didn't have a post on having sex or eating turkey to follow up on. Sorry.
Just reporting a followup to my post on hunting season. In it, as in this one, I did not make any point of being for or against hunting. It may please you to know that I am 60 years old and have hunted all my life, though a lot less in these later years than when I was younger. I also allow public hunting on my property, and a half dozen deer that I am aware of have been harvested in what might be refered to as my back yard in the last five days.

4. I'm sorry for the loved ones of these folks.
Accidental death never seems quite fair. Maybe someone will learn from errors that might have been made in these instances.

6. Sounds like a good way to go if you ask me, I would rather die in nature
doing something I like than die in the city doing something I hate.

7. And deaths from erotic asphyxiation
are continuing to mount. Draw your own conclusions.
