For my one thousandth post....

I just want to say how disgusting this place can be sometimes.

Anna Nicole Smith, homophobia, Britney Spears, juvenile acts of vandalism,
and then a thread about horrific acts by US troops that immediately makes it
to the greatest page without corroboration.

I will also say that there are some wonderful and smart people here
that give me at least some hope for the citizenry of this country.

Oh, and for my 1000th post, I got a great wife.

I just want to say that, while I might agree with some of what you have written, I don't think it's up to one person to choose what is important enough to make it onto the greatest page. I agree with the lock of the troop thread, but I disagree that threads on homophobia should be kept off the greatest page. If some people wish to believe in the acts of one man with a green high lighter...so be it. :toast:
