And just when I thought I couldn't laugh any harder, I find this gem in the comments:

When I saw the subject line, my first thought was, "Gay sex, followed by how to create a Dominionist theocracy while screaming 'Stop persecuting Christians!'"

That's what they really think about all that goddamn much. I'm going to warrant more than a few of those "conservative scholars" are severely hateful in-the-closet types.

Then I spent 3 days with my right wing fundamentalist family. My impressions are that peace activists are happy and gay, have a lot of fun, and engage in animated, positive conversation. "Conservatives" are dull and ceaselessly engage in angry, negative conversation. The conservatives are also gluttons.

That's just....oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Looks like I was 100% right.

If these people got laid a little more often, maybe they would not have to spend all of their time worrying about what everyone else was doing out there.

(1) Sex and how to stop other people from having it!

(2) Money and how to hog it all for yourself!


I seem to have been right on the first one!

That just as we have always known, social conservatives spend an inordinate amount of time worrying and obsessing over what someone else may or may not be doing with his or her genitalia, in lieu of doing some of those things with their own.
