What would prompt Tom Brokaw to say this upcoming election is probably

the "most important election of this country's history"? He said that on the Ellen show yesterday...I agree with him but hearing him say it surprised me. I assumed he was just a corporate whore...

Like many who straddle the fence, he thought he could do good from within. Then Rove and co set him up and took him down.

Now he's pissed, and understands the game. And he's absolutely right.

but what did Brokaw do to "take one for the team"? Are you perhaps thinking of Dan Rather?
As far as I've observed, Brokaw kisses RW patootie along with the rest of the corporate media.
