Poll question: When forming an opinion on economic and/or foreign policy

do you ever think about people outside of the US or not?

1. Less than I should probably
but yes. Obviously in foreign policy (kind of the whole point of foreign policy IMO). In economic policy I think I do poorly, but still better than many DUers who never seem to acknowledge that whatever harm globalization may have caused Americans, we face noweere near the fate that Indian and Chinese workers - such as existed - did before that same globalization gave tens of millions of them a chance to come from conditions dire beyond our ken. I always have to remind people who complain about Chinese laborers making 1000 yuan a month - about $4 a day - being exploited that their alternative is not ours - their alternative is subsistence farming or REAL indentured labor.
