Lerk's warning about the paralysis of talking points
THE PARALYSIS OF TALKING POINTS

One thing nagged at me as I watched the stellar nonperformance of Alberto Gonzales testifying before congress, the fog of amnesiac Kyle Sampson, the catatonic performance of the republican aspirants in the debate..... it all finally came together in my mind.

The paralysis of talking points

In the body politic, as the Rovian mimeograph of synaptic tendrils reached ever wider and ever tighter in the republican organism, the need or even the ABILITY to think independently or beyond the scope of the current talking points atrophied.

The talking points became the heroin, the meth, the crack of the republican animal. "Just repeat these mantras and ultimate power will be yours" the talking points whispered seductively. "Just surrender your reason, your critical thinking, your ability to discern right from wrong. Be part of the collective ROVEBRAIN and be included in the powergrab. Keep repeating ad nauseum, and ignore your own gag reflex. Let the propagand catapult through your epiglottis like projectile vomiting, until the public is drowned in our manufactured bile"

seemed simple enough. Seemed to work. Until people started demanding answers.

Then, something weird happened. The bushbots, having heaved their humanity overboard to make room for talking points geas, having emptied their souls of anything NOT ROVEBRAIN, found themselves unable to recollect anything. Nervously, you see them collapse within themselves. They can repeat the crack-addled talking points, to be sure, but when they are dragged or pulled off the reservation, you see the same confused and doubtful looks that appear on the faces of crack whores being asked to balance a checkbook.

Atrophy. Political hardening of the arteries. Ethical Alzheimers. Rove and the neocons have starved the brain cells from within. Never again can the republicotans be rewired to achieve thought. reduced to ants who can only tread where a trail has been blazed before them, but if cut off they are lost, dazed and confused.

McCain tries to out bush Bush, spouting Rovisms like an epileptic sycophant with tourette's syndrome.
Guiliani tries desperately to recall the glory days of when his city was attacked and he did basically nothing.
The rest of the group, like starving dogs with a bone, worry the relgious right by plying them with rhetoric proving that they themselves, at least, are unevolved.

I realized something fundamental: Rove has INTENTIONALLY stunted the republican party, drowned their independence and enslaved their minds in order to better control them. But the more perfect you make your slave, the easier it is for them to follow ANYONE who overthrows you.

I say, take down the head of the chicken politically. I say indict Rove for treason. I say eliminate the bread crumbs he lays before the pigs to lead them.

The, sit back, pop your popcorn, and watch the braindead try to revive themselves.

1. Problem is...Rove has "Legitimacy"...Newseek hired the Disgusting Filth...
So..every doctor and dentist's office will have his spew living on through years of old issues of both mags.

Rove has been re-invented. He got OFF...Fitz didn't get him...so we need to live with the ugly reality of him for years. The "top of the Bush Machine" will all get off...the underlings will get light sentences...and it will be pushed under the rug as Hillary/Bill command the New American Century...that was derailed a bit by the Chimp's over reach. It's okay because Poppy Bush and Carlyle Company, plus the United Arab Emerites will make "Clinton II" the best time we Americans EVER HAD!

It's in the cards. Relax and take a breath and enjoy it. Forget those "naysayers" who are saying finacial collapse and "Armageddon" for our economy...job loss...homeless...no health care..etc.

:sarcasm: Frankly that "Lipstick on the Pig" seems to work EVERY TIME for a compliant ignorant public who cares more about "Preditor Marathons" on MSNBC and Wolf Blitzer's "Endless War" nonsense than anything else. I can't blame people who have no media...though. Why should we blame them when our own Dems were complicit in taking away any truthful, diversified reporting.

We will be the "Good Germans" as we go to our demise....

4. The implication intended in my post is that
it's a little more complicated than saying "let's indict Rove first", isn't it? Where are we going to indict him, in our imaginations? Show me anyone willing to uphold the rule of law and I'll ask you why haven't they done it yet? We voted and we got our majority who promptly declared "impeachment is off the table". Get it? The whole game is rigged.

6. Did you hear Rove say that Congress rushed the Iraq war resolution?
KO played a cut of him saying that on the Charlie Rose show. KO showed that he was simply lying through his teeth as there are record of Bush pushing the resolution. lol - you are right though, nothing is happening to any neocon for some reason and talking about it is pointless. I'd like to see some action too.

5. Someone is still generating the talking points
We just got hit with the new ones of "The Surge is Working" "We are winning" and Rove has been off the official payroll for a while now.

8. Think tanks
Rove did not invent the bumper sticker mentality, he just took it to the next level.
