More Rain for Drought-Stricken Georgia
CBN News credits Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue of course. At least they are getting the much needed rain!

Just two weeks ago, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue led a prayer service for rain at the State Capitol.

1. Wow, that prayer must have been a time-released plea.

6. Gimme a break
I live in Atlanta and we have not had any rainfall that, in the context of this drought, is significant. When Sonny scheduled his prayer vigil long-term weather forecasts were already predicting rainfall the night of the day following the day on which he held his vigil. I'm not saying he scheduled it around the weather forecasters but the facts reveal that such information was available to him and his handlers.

We got a little rain that night and then twice since but nothing significant. Early predictions for up to 2.5 to 3.0 inches of rain on this past Sunday night into yesterday were incorrect and the area generally got not more than .50 to .75 inches of rain.

I would prefer Sonny get to work on a long-term conservation and water management plan that includes growth control rather than praying. If he wants to encourage all Georgians to pray for rain in their own ways, in their own churches, synagoges and mosques, homes, etc. that's fine. But I want him in his office working and not praying.

7. My family was talking about Georgia's drought the other day
It was raining hard where we were at in Texas, I think they got 3 inches that day alone. Now, they really don't need much rain, and we were talking about how we wished it would all just move to Georgia where they do need it.

Good luck.
