Anyone get a Yoda vibe from Senator Byrd?

Both are very wise.

Both speak in the same manner, Byrd uses "Yes" frequently in his speech. (Of late that is.)

Both stand against the evil emperor.

3. awww, poor old guy. He's still got some piss and vinegar in him!

I love to watch him speak, but he needs a little assistance with his equipment and could somebody give him a glass of water next time?

4. I know, those Senators are so fucking mean...
I mean really how hard would it be to help the guy with his mic? Seriously, they're going to get old as well, they'd better treat their elders kindly as they would want to be treated!

8. Piss and vinegar indeed....
I loved it when he said "I'm gonna stand right here, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT HERE, in this spot, every day, etc...."

The old guy put a smile on my face today...:)

6. Oh, I'm used to it, he sounds like that all the time...
though I don't recall him sneezing.

For as long as I can remember paying attention to him in the Senate, he's sounded like Yoda.

7. Turned to The Dark Side, Byrd has. Bigot he is.

You know who the real Yoda is?

Barney Frank.

They're both old, wise, short, and talk funny.

Although Waxman LOOKS the most like Yoda.
