Today. Right now. And then do it again. And again. And again, all night long. Make the fucking GOP stay there all weekend until they get it right.

2. He should call for a vote every Saturday
and wear the Repubs down. Keep voting on the resolution every Saturday until the Dems side wins.

14. It only takes one person to object
It is Reid's burden to find 60 votes to invoke cloture.

A cloture motion would fail with a 59-1 vote.

5. Interesting approach.
Not sure Harry'd have the guts to do that though. It would be... exhilirating to see.

8. Or Put Up A Resolution To Debate Anna Nicole's Sex Life
Bet he could get all the Republicans to debate that. What a sad day.

9. If the bill is different from that of the House
Edited on Sat Feb-17-07 03:25 PM by MikeDuffy
then even if it passed, would it not be subject to being reconciled with the House version which would then need to be passed again in both chambers (I'm checking on my understanding of the process)?

And had the bill (resolution) passed, then no reconciliation would have been needed?

13. Better yet
Dig up some severe skeletons on Lieberman (misspelled intentionally) and wheel in Senator Johnson so we can force Cheney to risk a heart attack to come down and break every tie...

If only we could, but alas I think the best we can do is "lay-up" for 2008 they way Rove did us in for the 2002 elections- force uncomfortable votes.
