Colbert Blasts Steve Doocy for Trying to Steal Helen Thomas’ Seat
this segment was pretty funny :)

Renovations to the new White House Press Room are underway and with one more seat being added to the front row, both CNN and FOX vying for the coveted spot. Apparently, the hosts of FOX and Friends think that Helen Thomas, the dean of the White House press corps, covering every President since Kennedy, should be booted because the seat rightfully belongs to "the cable news network with the highest ratings." Luckily, Stephen comes to her defense.

"He's starting an email campaign to steal an old lady's chair. Bravo, sir. That takes courage. And of course FOX News deserves that chair. If anything, they should get two chairs because Tony Snow has been polite enough to stand for the past year."

other than that satiric morning show on Faux? It's called "The morning show" or something super obvious like that and it's on my local NBC affiliate, it's Dbag and that insipid shithead blond girl from Fox and friends. 6. Every member of the WH Press Corpse should give up their seat to Helen Thomas.
As for Tony Blow, the guy bows down to the Sulpherous One.

Then, they do have a lot in common:

And for all that desire to communicate what they know
and the only book they appear to have read cover-to-cover is "Mein Kampf."

9. Tony Snow himself.
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/01/09/snow-mission-accomplished/

A smug man, who seems oddly at home in his hypocrisy...

...as if fame could rub off on him....

...I present, Tony Snow.

PS: Sorry it took so long to answer, my Friend.

A lot of these images have gotten scrubbed from the Internets.

Mission accomplished, indeed, CatWoman.

17. Holy crap
Tony Snow looks kind of like a young Eric Idle in that first picture (sincerest apologies to Mr. Idle!). Thanks for posting those other pictures - I was afraid for a second I was going to find young Tony Snow faintly attractive ( :puke: :scared: ), but those other pics took care of that. (Especially the one where he looks like Charles Manson - yeesh!)

12. I loved that - Colbert acting like he's scared of Helen
in effect, making fun of the WH, and then jumping to her defense, and once again, making them look like the idiots they are!

13. "A fixture in the WH Press Room since the Presidency of Andrew Johnson"

Maybe Faux should receive some emails saying Helen should keep her chair - anyone know the email?

So very odd the Faux viewers don't think Helen should keep the chair.......:sarcasm:

14. I've seen how he really does love her
Edited on Sun Feb-18-07 02:49 PM by JNelson6563
That night Colbert did his brilliant performance at the Press Corps dinner, when he was finished and leaving he stopped for a moment with Helen Thomas. The way he treated her in that brief moment spoke volumes, it was very sweet.

Julie

On edit: A big "oh snap!" for Colbert's dose of truthiness! Thanks for posting the clip.
