Thanks, but I'll keep both my Senators
Bernie and Pat. And there are only 435 reps in the House.

20. Which at least tacitly violates the constitutionally required apportionment
Edited on Tue Dec-04-07 11:21 PM by leftist_not_liberal
but yeah.

Some house districts are over twice the size of others. Representation of the people is thus uneven and, as we have seen multiple times, the electoral college does not represent the actual vote.

It's fucked up. And the millionaire club in the beltway likes it thataway.

18. The Spousal Unit predicts:
in that eventuality (collapse and depression), we will fall to 4th or 5th in world standing. Not quite 3rd World, but low enough to get wedgies on a semi-regular basis.

He has better game theory and political skilz, very "through-time" and so good at long range planning and projections.

Me, I'm "in-time". Past, present or future, it's always happening NOW, so I've been stocking up for many a rainy (or drought-y) day.

8. That was a great speech
Too bad more people probably weren't listening. It really was a rallying cry to save the "American dream" from the greedy multinational corporations. (I loved that he mentioned Jeff Imelt by name!)

13. It 'would' be the greatest country on earth if some of the slackers would pull themselves up by
bootstraps.

It's simple, just get three or four part-time minimum wage jobs.
