Did you know we're all unemployed?
Well, except for me, apparently.

What is it that prompts the freeper types and their ilk to make that assumption? I don't get it. Just some random thing with which to bludgeon us? Another insult with no basis in anything even resembling fact?

Their disconnect with reality sometimes leaves me completely stunned. How can someone live their life with no real grasp on the world around them? To look at it through ideological blinders that prevent them from admitting that some of what we say here might actually have some merit?

Consider how much time they spend focused on what WE say, and making ridiculous assumptions pulled straight out of their asses, I know I couldn't say the same. I've spent my time in the belly of the beast, arguing with Libertarians and Conservatives, so I already know where they're coming from. And it ain't pretty.

These days I just prefer to argue with people who don't know a good candidate when they see one.

;)

Sometimes it's a wonder they can read, much less type. The Constitution so many of them claim to love has been shredded before their eyes and they remain completely blind to it. What strikes me about their hypocrisy is that, had a Democratic administration showed the gall to do so, they'd have been up in arms.

Astounding that utter nitwits and nutcases can pat one another on the back, assured of their own superiority, when they're unable to see something that's as plain as the nose on their face.

It's gotta be a mental defect. There's just no other explanation.

1. It's nothing but an addendum to the "welfare queen in her Cadillac" chapter in the Book of Rush

2. And all homeless people are alcoholics.
Oh wait... that's believed by liberals too!

4. Not all liberals, at least.
Some are, but some are also mentally ill, addicted, or simply victims of fate.

6. Yeah, trot out that list of myths.

It hurts us all, but go ahead.

The NUMBER ONE cause of homelessness is our wretched "health care" system!

HIgh on the list is also abuse, but you named neither.

7. Oh, don't get huffy...
I've BEEN homeless. And I never said MOST were anything.

"Twist of fate" covers the healthcare deal. I didn't think about abuse, but I imagine that's a rather large group as well, particularly for teenagers.

Then again, 25% of our homeless are veterans. Some are mentally ill, some are addicts of one sort or another, and some simply have nowhere to go.

17. You bet I get "huffy" when people misrepresent those who are suffering!
As any liberal would.

As for you, learn the reality before you go off on people you know nothing about.

3. All of us dirty hippie commie liberals are unemployed..
Unwashed too!

They read it in Time Magazine in 1967.

Whatever....they aren't real bright. I guess that would be considered a mental defect.

8. That's OK.
It took me a very long time to outgrow the stereotype that all freepers were disaffected middle-aged losers who lived in their mother's basement.

I now realize it's mostly untrue.

10. Oh, they're perfectly capable of holding two disparate prejudices in their
tiny little heads at the same time.

Like how illegal immigrants are both stealing their jobs AND sucking off the welfare state.

Or how we're unemployed elitists.

about as sharp as a q-tip, the whole lot of 'em.

16. Bush's carpet comes up and hits him in the face.
And then he chews on the carpet. And the pretzels attack him. And the Segway. Awful scrapes on his face from hostile furniture. Inanimate objects attack him all the time -- I just do not get it.

12. You bet it's a mental defect
Last week we were standing in our usual spot protesting the war and a car drove by slowly. The window came down and a man in the car stuck his head out and yelled "GO HOME!"

I looked at his car tags and was amazed to see he was from out of state.

We were in our home town but he was from out of town.

And he was yelling at us to go home.

Gotta love the idiocy.

13. Nope. It's just easier to be thoughtless and emotional and reckless.
I suppose you COULD say the easy way out is a mental defect because it shows no self-discipline in moral or emotional or psychological states.

But, quite honestly, the failure to acknowledge facts, control co-dependent emotions, gut basic empathy and preclude the possibility of any alternative solutions,...is plain ole' WEAK.

They are weak.

They GLORIFY in human weakness because,...they just do not have the strength to be better.

15. Human weakness in others validates their lack of strength to do better.
