They took impeachment "off the table," they dragged their feet on any kind of accountability for the Executive Branch, they allowed themselves repeatedly to be bullied by the White House and have reliably given in to Bush's extortion demands.

Had Congress acted like a group of responsible grown-ups this last year rather than like a gang of naughty children who knew they had done wrong, things might be different today.

....no matter how much i would of like to see * and the vp impeached....i think that is exactly what the repukes wanted us to do bog down congress with the impeachment proceedings so we wouldn't concentrate on all the other bad, immoral and unethical things that the repukes were doing when thay held the majority
