Democrats Responsible For Entire Disastrous Bush Administration Reign, Says Rove

Karl Rove today said that George Bush's presidency would have been a great success if Democrats had not forced Bush to make countless numbers of flawed decisions that have led the country down the path toward national disaster.

"We wouldn't have invaded Iraq, we would have saved New Orleans, we would have staffed FEMA," said Rove. "It's all the Democrats' fault."

Rove went on to say that if voters wanted a change from the disastrous Bush years, they'd have to vote Republican. "It's sad how these Democrats mishandled the Bush Presidency."

Rove also blamed Bill Clinton for having "come before" Bush. "It's just awful the way Clinton directly preceded him," said Rove.

Rove went on to blame the flawed policies of the "Democrats' Bush Treasury Department" for the decline of the dollar and the Democrats' "ridiculous love of the sub-prime mortgage" for the downturn in the economy. "I'm genuinely shocked at how the Dems let this housing bubble expand," he added. "It's too bad the Republican White House and the Republican-controlled congress couldn't stop the powerful Democratic juggernaut."

Yeah, it's a pity we forced him to become a greedy, obstinate dumbass. Though I still can't remember how we did it...

16. Funny you should say that, Mr Rove.
For most of the Bush presidency,eh, dictatorship, it was the Republicans who had the majorities in both the House and the Senate. What a bunch of big bullies the Democrats are. They just pushed George W Bush around. They beat him up and then had the nerve to take his lunch money.:sarcasm:

put firecrackers in their mouths and they shouldn't have made him laugh by splattering all over the place.

*Even though our party owned all three branches of
government at the time, it was still the Dems fault.*

Is this clown starting a stand-up comedy act or something?

7. This is not to agree with K. Rove but something does lay at
the Democratic Party,s doorstep. From the beginning of the Bush
Presidency they could or would not form a serious opposition party.

Therefore some can say in a crazy wway they (Dems) often were
Bush enablers or the Me TOO Party. Not all the time but very
often. A strong Opposition Party could have slowed him down and
created real interence.

Right now on the Hill, the GOP the minority have formed a strong
opposition Party. They plan apoligize to the constiuents and
stop as much Dem Legislation as possible. They plan to hold on
to their seats by showing their constituents they have learned
their lesson and have kept the Democrats from ruining the country.

While it grieves me to say it--you have to give the GOP credit.
When they lost, they did not put their tail between their legs
and hide. it is easier to do this when you really believe in
something. (In their case, their belief is as wrongheaded as
heck, but they believe it and it motivates and gives them strength.

13. I agree.
Reality is a verb. False dichotomies are static and, hence, invalid.

The tough questions are about who contributed how much of what to any given event.

12. What's sad is that this is such valid satire.
This is exactly the line they're pushing, and no doubt will continue to push, for decades to come. I really want to know if people like Rove actually believe that the Congress 'forced the IWR vote before the elections', or if they know they're lying.

I suspect it's something in between. They just don't care about reality one way or the other, and will accept whatever "truth" is necessary to maintain their legitimacy at any given moment.

21. That's exactly what I thought!
The thing that convinced me it was satire is that Rove has never spoken nor will he ever speak so obviously about his strategy of completely twisting the facts 190 degrees. He's too sneaky for that.
