Bush now wants to attack Iran to stop them *from getting knowledge.*

Bush Says Iran Still a Danger Despite Report on Weapons

By GRAHAM BOWLEY
December 5, 2007

.....

“I still feel strongly that Iran’s a danger,” , in his first comments on the report. He added: “I think it is very important for the international community to recognize the fact that if Iran were to develop the knowledge that they could transfer to a clandestine program, it would create a danger for the world.”

He said that he had learned of the new intelligence findings only last week, and that no one in the intelligence community had urged him to step back from his tough warning, made in October, that a nuclear Iran could pose a danger of a “World War III.”

.....

Our pretend president is a liar.

And, he is afraid for people to *have knowledge.*

"The president has no authority to unilaterally attack Iran, and if he does, as Foreign Relations Committee chairman, I will move to impeach." ----Senator Joe Biden, November 29, 2007

Speaker Pelosi, you will never have a more immediate and clear reason to commence impeachment proceedings against George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney than this.

3. Then by his definition, a bag of rocks presents a clear danger
since it would have more sentience than he has.

5. Another step towards criminalizing thoughts and knowledge
And of course, the Internet will be on the target towards this end too

They're just catapulting some more propoganda to the masses. Unfortunately, so many people, especiallly right-wing fundie types, already have a bias against "knowledge" which they trace back to the mythical Garden of Eden.

It just reeks of a return to the Dark Ages

7. they say that when he plays golf he changes the rules so that he always wins ...
which, coincidentally was his grandmother's dorothy walker's motto (PRETEND NEVER TO WANT TO WIN BUT ALWAYS WIN!) ... so now he is changing the goal posts again just so that he can have his way ... and the bent-knees-kiss-his=sorry-*ss congress will give him a win, just watch and see. but i say they should give him a, "tough pottoodies to you Mr. Bush! there ain't such thing, and you ain't gonna get such thing!"

8. Riding *'s logic to its improbable conclusion, the sovereignty of
Iran would have to be totally destroyed and obliterated and not allowed to resurrect as an independent country in the future. And that's assuming that Iran's citizens wouldn't be inspired to support a nuclear arms project in the myriad of new home states where they would be refugees.

11. nice try, but it aint gonna work
'knowledge'! pretty desperate anyone think this just might lead to is the 'discovery' of some 'SEKRET NUKULAR' documents that have 'fallen into the hands of the iranian regime'...

such a sham IS about their speed, but i've gotta say its pretty funny watching trying to lower the bar so shamelessly from proof of an actual weapons program to the mere 'knowledge' on how to make a bomb. this reminds me of how bush snuck in the phrase 'weapons of mass destruction program related activities' into a SOTU not so long ago.
