It took diplomacy and 'cool heads' to bring the 'teddy bear lady',
Gillian Gibbons, home to Britain from Sudan. Do you think the outcome would have been different if this had been an American teacher with US officials handling the negotiations?

1. Depends on which Americans
If it was Jesse Jackson or Bill Richardson, she might have got home sooner. If it was John Bolton, they would have sent her body and kept the head.

2. It took a couple of Muslim Parliamentarians
2 Muslims in the House of Lords (one Labour, one Tory; one man, one woman). The Sudanese government basically said they were only willing to do the deal with British Muslims, and Baroness Warsi was allowed to see Ms. Gibbons in jail because she is a woman.
