They still needed to analyze the intelligence." Bush* at the presser...

on edit: 42 minutes of torment - press conference link from Herbster :
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/12/20071204-4.html

Excuse me? That is like your wife calls and says I had an accident, and you put the phone down without asking what and where because she still needs to see a doctor.
The NIE was OUT so the analysis had been vetted! BS.

bmc

PS: Anyone remember the other August PDB?

1. There are only two possible responses to his statement. Either he's a liar
and knew about it all along. Or, he's a totally uninvolved and uninterested president, who doesn't ask questions of his own intelligence team and just lets things go.

Either of these two options (and there are only 2) requires this man to step down, IMO.

3. Somehow, he appeared "uninvolved" in this case, so option 2.
whether that means kept being out of the loop or simply a character trait - I'd say both.

I'm also sure Cheney is running the show and Bush* is kept out of some loops. Have seen THAT before, haven't we?

PS: he also a liar, the analysis thing was a lie imho.

4. Which leads us to the scenerio that he didn't know what was going on,
so he went out and declared that we were heading to WWIII and his minions ratcheted up the rhetoric to equal his and all the while, his intelligence groups had information that would prove everything he said a lie...and they just left him hanging out there.

Those crazy intelligence guys. They love a good pratical joke.

7. I'm sure the inside of his bubble wall has whatever program
projected that his Masters want to.

I think he's being fed OSP-like info.

8. This guy takes incompetency to a new level .
He's either a president who is a bloody idiot or one who's told so many lies he can't distinguish fact from fantasy anymore. Hmmmm . . . new info . . . Iran might or might not have nukes. Aw, shucks . . . surprise me. Heh, heh, heh.

11. That wasn't "incompetence." It was criminal.
He wanted to get us hip deep in another war before we found out he was lying again. And I think the only reason we're not is that the military balked.

So he settled for raising oil prices thru the roof.

12. The military AND the intelligence community balked...
Having said that, they should both have been smart enough to cockblock the war in Iraq too. WTF did they think was going to happen?

No more Kool Aide drinkers in the military and intelligence communities. We need real analysis from educated PATRIOTS.
