12. That's not something a candidate should do in a primary. I can
only hope to hear something similar though in the General! Especially if the idiot Pub decides to side with Shrub on anything!

21. Has he called for Bush's impeachment now too? Hope so!
Edited on Fri Dec-07-07 12:44 PM by polichick
It's not fair, but I think if the more "mainstream" candidates led this fight it would make a big difference. Or maybe with this new Iran info coming out Kucinich will be taken more seriously.

6. If George Bush was watching this
I imagine it is like the scene from V For Vendetta, where the chancellor smashes his glass of milk after being lampooned on TV.

10. Unfortunately, no ...
But look at it this way: we're all living through a seminal moment in human history. This really is the end of the American Empire. Schoolchildren a thousand years from now will be reading about us just as our own schoolchildren read about the Romans and Greeks.

It's a small consolation, but you have to hold on to something, no?

11. The end - or just the beginning?
George W. Bush may decide he has nothing to lose. Impeachment, followed by removal from office and criminal charges, is the only solution.

13. Oh, no ...
I'm really afraid this is the end.

Of course, I'm going through a slightly depressive period in my personal life, so that may be coloring my perceptions.

Still, looking at everything as rationally as I'm capable of looking at it ... yeah. This is the end. We're all fucked.

18. I was listening to Mike Malloy the other night.
If you've never heard him, you should know that he's not about rainbows and sunshine. One of the most dark and cynical hosts out there. He talked about how many times these past seven years he's come close to losing it mentally. But he said something I thought was very perceptive. He said that although this administration has done all it could to kill the body that is America, followed into hell so eagerly by sheeple and rah-rahed by the MSM, the progressives have been acting like the lungs, keeping us alive through the darkest of times, our vegetative state. He was talking to a caller who said he might be on the verge of losing it, and told him we're going to need every progressive out there to not give up and keep thinking clearly, not lose hold on reality no matter how much they make it squirm.

And now, it is turning. We were right about practically everything and people are finally waking up. If this country was where it was in 2004, we'd be in Iran already.

19. yeah, Mike has come close to the edge on quite a few occasions

and some nights even dangled over it, due to the same seven year stretch of anger, frustration and futility that me and many of us have felt, regardless if they know and agree with him, or not.
I'm not a regular every day listener of his, but until KO came along, I can't think of anyone else who was blasting BushCo so vehemently on a daily basis with such warranted contempt the entire time Malloy was putting his head on the chopping block, and possibly the No Fly List.
IMO, an angry, pist off liberal, pushed to the brink by the damage done to this country should be a neo-Conservatives worst nightmare, and a reich-winger's most dangerous enemy as is Mike Malloy.
And its true that many more concerned Americans are waking up, and things are finally turning around, due to the incompetence of ChuckleNutz the War Clown; But again IMO, Malloy deserves a helluva lot of credit for fighting so long and hard without fanfare and followers, besides his "truth seekers".

14. Bush's rhetoric changed on August 9 from * pursuing nukes* to *trying to acquire knowledge to build*
Edited on Thu Dec-06-07 09:19 PM by seafan
nukes...

That compilation of Bush quotes from all of this year by Dan Froomkin was excellent work.

Bush knew in August. And he continued to lie to the country, as recently as mid-October.

Somebody please send the US Marshals to the White House. It's time.
