NBC Rejects Ad From Conservative Group
WASHINGTON (AP) - NBC has rejected a TV ad by Freedom's Watch, a conservative group that supports administration policy in Iraq, that asks viewers to remember and thank U.S. troops during the holiday season.
NBC said it declined to air the ad because it refers to the group's Web site, which the network said was too political, not because of the ad's message.

==

The Freedom's Watch Web home page contains links for visitors to demonstrate their support for the troops. It also contains a welcoming message that states: "For too long, conservatives have lacked a permanent political presence to do battle with the radical special interests groups and their left-wing allies in government."
"We have a policy that prohibits acceptance of advertising that deals with issues of public controversy," Wurtzel said. "This particular ad, in and of itself, is fine. It thanks the troops for their action overseas. We asked them to eliminate a URL address where a person is asked to contact elected officials and told not to cut and run on the war on terror."
NBC rejected a previous Freedom's Watch ad that addressed funding for the troops.

3. Oh, I can hear it now! Damn librul media ain't showin' conservative ads!
Blah blah blah.

Forget the fact that 9 out of 10 talking heads are conservatives. Where's the balance there?

The liberal media is a fallacy that doesn't exist. It's an excuse to cover up illegal acts on the part of Republicans, by making it seem the news is slanted to make the GOP look bad. And in fact, it's the other way around.

When you don't have anything else, lie. That's all the Republican Party has. Lies.

Fox News refuses to run pro-Constitution ad

Fox News has refused to air an ad produced by the Center for Constitutional Rights that criticizes the Bush administration for "destroying the Constitution" by the use of renditions, torture, and other tactics. The ad, "Rescue the Constitution," which is narrated by actor Danny Glover, can be viewed here and here.

In an email provided to Media Matters for America by the Center, Fox News account executive Erin Kelly told Owen Henkel, the Center's e-communications manager, that Fox would not run the ad:

Hi Owen --

We cannot approve the spot with it being Danny Glover's opinion that the Bush Administration is destroying the Constitution. If you have documentation that it is indeed being destroyed, we can look at that.

Sorry about that,

Erin

In 2005, Fox refused to run an ad critical of then-Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito Jr., who had been nominated by President Bush to succeed retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

9. NBC and MSNBC: quickly becoming the Fox News of the left.
Edited on Fri Dec-07-07 04:49 PM by originalpckelly
It's wrong to have such incredible bias in reporting, whether conservative bias or liberal bias. And quite frankly, we have to ask ourselves why it is big GE is making the decision to go left? They are by no means benign, it is intentional propaganda. They want us watching their networks, why? Jack Welch was a conservative, I doubt many of the people on GE's board are liberals. Why are conservatives propagandizing us?

If I remember correctly, Fox News just declined a liberal ad from Danny Glover about Bush destroying the US Constitution.

10. NBC & MSNBC are far from becoming like Fox Left
True, Keith Olbermann is liberal, but as long as Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough are hosting shows, you can't say that they are a liberal network
