California is getting "perfect storms"..and I am LOVING it
Thursday night..gentle rain all night long
Friday..afternoon evening showers
Saturday... slight drizzle off and on..
Sunday bright blue skies puffy little clouds
Sunday night..more gentle rain ..off and on

NO FLOODING..NO WIND.. ground allowed to absorb the precious rain, before the next round comes

My weeds can grow 4 ft tall, and I won't mind paying someone to cut them down :)

Here's hoping the rest of the parched USA fares as well.. especially you sourtheasterners with dried up reservoirs

3. Hey SoCalDem... I'm building in the far north of the state and live

in Sacramento and it's not raining as much in the northstate, although it looks like it's going to get a bit hairy next week, God willing. Sacramento and the surrounding counties got up to 3 inches! the Sierras got upwards of a foot or more of snow, so things are starting off on a good foot. I'm happy to read that you're getting a drink in the south... I only hope that we get enough rain so that my property is covered with wildflowers; wild larkspur, poppies, shooting stars, tidy-tips and at least 30 other kinds. If it does, I'm taking pictures and posting them in the spring. Years ago, the former owners planted daffodils and they are naturalising a hill in the north north east pasture.

I'm a native, born in Hollywood, lived in LA until 12 years old, moved to Merced county graduated Highschool, live in Sacramento attended University, met and married my genuine Bohemian Texan, moving to Tehama county and building a home and making a ranch. The Spanish padres and colonists named them Las Sierras, OR the SIERRA NEVADA. Las Sierras in spanish,(which I speak, among a few other languages), means: the mountain ranges. La SIERRA Nevada means: snow covered Mountain ranges. I am a "Californiana Nativa", more exactly "Una Angelina Nativa". Born and Bred. Thanks anyway.

8. I just heard from my happy sister it was raining in San Diego today.
Well, a few hours ago. For a person whose favorite weather is cold and rainy, living in San Diego has been a trial to her.

She said her pool is full to the top (okay, she really does like having that pool).
