Former Councilman Found Drinking Suntan Lotion

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A former Volusia County councilman charged with drunken driving was found at the scene drinking suntan lotion, according to police.

Investigators said Bill Long was apparently speeding on Interstate 4 near Lee Road Monday when he plowed into a vehicle.

The other car was totally destroyed but two people inside of it escaped without serious injury.


When officers arrived at the scene, he was found drinking the suntan lotion.

10. Well, he was drunk so maybe that was his reason
I have seen drunk people do a lot of weird things when I was a cop (although people on hard drugs did a lot weirder things...)

11. An Ex-cop I knew had some creepy PCP stories
Unstoppable perps and stuff like that....One was that it took a clip and then some to take down a guy on PCP with a baseball bat charging.

Alchohol just makes the judgement poor as far as I've sen. My guess is that he looked quickly for something else to drink down but was too drunk or too lazy to find it. He then proceded to chug down the only thing he could find in hopes that the coconut oil would mask his breath.

Meh...as long as no one got injured.
