Is Bush's House Of Cards Collapsing Rapidly?
I don't see where he has much protection left other than Cheney and his immediate staff.

Congress needs to bust it wide open.

2. No, unfortunately.
There is far too much complicity and self-protectionism throughout the legislature that prevents us from unearthing all the lies that would topple * and Co.

6. Do we have the belly for clearing the table?
This isn't going to be one of those scenarios where the bad guy, cornered at last, grins, shrugs, throws down his gun and says, "You got me, copper." This is going to be one of those cases where we have to take back the levers of power by figuratively snapping their fingers off one by one. They're going to fight, bite, scratch and caterwaul all the way down. And even then, they're going to shit and piss themselves, blubbering like fat recruits in boot camp. And even then, we're going to have to keep after them and after them, and any lapse in concentration, any show of kindness or mercy will be taken as a show of weakness, and they'll skitter away at the very end.

7. Judging by the way things are going in Iraq and with the economy
I'd say that by this spring or mid summer by the latest the crap will hit the fan in a big way. He's been playing for time, trying to forestall both a military and economic collapse but I don't think he's going to make it.

8. No...because Congress is giving him everything he wants. Senator Reid in Particular
is doing a fine job for the Bush "House of Cards."

The little dictator/puppet has had no opposition since 2001, despite his continued violations of the Constitution and international law.

11. Actually not. The Democrats in Congress showed the highest Democratic unity score in 51 years.
Edited on Mon Dec-17-07 03:29 PM by Perry Logan
"President Bush's success rating in the Democratic-controlled House has fallen this year to a half-century low, and he prevailed on only 14 percent of the 76 roll call votes on which he took a clear position.

"So far this year, Democrats have backed the majority position of their caucus 91 percent of the time on average on such votes. That marks the highest Democratic unity score in 51 years."

Don't let the media rhetoric fool you. The Democrats have acquitted themselves quite well--especially given their bare majority in both houses, and a relentlessly obstructionist Republican minority.

12. Then how about new Democratic leadership?
Pelosi and Reid have bent over backward for this criminal too many times.

9. He has enough Senators to filibuster
And has had 3 Attorney Generals in a row who have so far protected
him from a bursting dam of accusations of impeachable criminal offenses.

Even a dead tree doesn't immediately crash to the forest floor.
