Proposed: Put a $1 Billion liability cap on telecoms and deny immunity
AT&T made several billion last quarter, even if they got hit for a billion it wouldn't kill them. Give them a cap and limit immunity. Hell, limit it to $1, who cares? The point is to get them into court to testify what they have done and to stop them from doing it in the future.

1. Or even a $50 cap
just let the lawsuits go forward so there is a full accounting of exactly what happened when. I don't want to let them off the hook financially, but if they are to be given immunity at least just make it financial immunity and let us know the details of these multiple programs.

2. Asbsolute Simple Genius
After all, what do we really want them pay other than admit they violated the law. That kind of admission is priceless these days.

Anybody in congress smart enough to think of this??

3. google is building a hell of a center a couple miles from here
and it will have something like 24 hugh 16 cylinder diesel powered emergency generators. I'm told upteen hundreds of what are basically personal computers in this first phase with a second one coming during the summer months with even more computers. what are they doing with all them computers Is what I would like to know, are they keeping all traces of our internet tracks. its all being done under real high security and the workers have to sign something that says they cannot talk about anything about what is going on there other than the fact they are iron workers for instance and can talk about iron work but nothing about anything else. I know a couple people who are working there and I've put together pretty much what I say here from little bits of info here and a little more there. just paying attention.
what is google planing to do is what I want to know
