Bush 41 Shoots Down Bill's Idea Of Involving Him In Hillary Diplomacy

December 18, 2007
Elder Bush nixes Clinton trip idea

Bill Clinton said Monday he and former President Bush would go on a diplomatic mission if Hillary Clinton became president.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former President George H.W. Bush has shot down his successor Bill Clinton’s idea of a diplomatic mission under a Hillary Clinton presidency that would send him and other notables abroad to assure other nations that “America is open for business and cooperation again.”

The move came one day after Bill Clinton made the suggestion on the campaign trail in South Carolina, in response to a question from a supporter about his wife’s “number-one priority” upon reaching the White House.

In a statement sent to CNN Tuesday afternoon, former President Bush’s chief of staff Jean Becker said that he “wholeheartedly supports the President of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around-the-world-mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of hope for freedom and democracy.

“President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for president, and looks forward to discussing their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”

27. That's just it...
...they'll pull ol' Bill in when it suits their needs.

The elite, Nazi establishment just reminded Bill that they call the shots,
and this is a relationship defined by Bill being a subservient tool that they
can call up when needed--otherwise STFU.

When will Bill and Hillary learned that when you sell your soul to Nazi
thug sociopaths--that doesn't mean they're your new best friends.

Jeb's got a lot of money tied up in Willard the Mighty Dog Abuser's campaign. He'd be really upset if Dad formally endorsed Hillary.

7. Gosh, isn't Bill Clinton SUCH a campaign asset?
Every time he opens his mouth, it's another major PR victory for Hillary, isn't it?

If only every other Democrat ever running for any office ever had just had enough brains to harness the awesome power of Bill Clinton, we'd all be living in permanent Democratic majority, wouldn't we?

34. The only comment Kerry made on that said it was
discussed at the time McCain was flirting with the idea of leaving the Republicans after Jeffords went independent. It never went anywhere - per both of them - because they were too far apart on key issues and McCain wouldn't become a Democrat and without that it was out of the question. Also, after the Iraq invasion, they quickly were too far apart.

31. I'm still not understanding...
...how Bill could have said that without the Bushies signing off on this.

For one thing, a world tour to do damage control--implies that Bush Sr acknowledges
that his son is a 14-karat fuck up, and that his devastation must be repaired.

Look at how fast the Bushies responded to this!

The truth most likely is---that behind closed doors, Senior acknowledges that his
son is an ass clown. It's probably a well-known truism in those elite circles. I think
sometimes that Bill accidentally lets the truth slip out.

One minute Bill is behind closed doors--running the world with the sociopathic thugs,
the next he's in the real world, speaking with "We The People". Sometimes he forgets
that the rest of us don't meander in the neocon-elite-substructure that controls the
universe and it's minions.

Sometimes those two worlds collide in Bill's brain.

24. Wow, talk about high drama...
Can you imagine the verbal lashing that Hillary is giving Bill
this afternoon?

Why on Earth would Bill have said such a thing, if such a "world tour"
had never been discussed?

This just cracks me up.

You have to wonder what is up with Bill??? It's like they aren't on the
same page.

I really would love to hear what Hillary's response to Bill was. I
imagine her head exploded.

33. Bill has finally jumped the shark.
He assumed that his pal Poppy, the Bush Crime Family Boss, would go along
with trashing his reprobate son, the one that the SC anointed, but Poppy
wasn't going to go that far. Jeb is still in the wings, waiting to be appointed
VP by Mitt.

Bush family hedges its bets for 2008
By Alexander Bolton
March 26, 2007

Much of Jeb’s inner circle has picked Romney. The list includes Sally Bradshaw, who served as Gov. Bush’s campaign manager in 1994 and 1998 and as his first gubernatorial chief of staff; Ann Herberger, who was the governor’s campaign finance director; and Mandy Fletcher, who recently headed Bush’s think tank, Foundation for Florida’s Future, and worked on his reelection. In addition, Alan Philp, Bush’s former policy director, is coordinating policy and issues for Romney.

Jeb Bush’s former lieutenant governor Toni Jennings, Al Cardenas, who served as Florida GOP chairman under Jeb, David Griffin, who headed Jeb’s second -term transition office and was the Florida Lottery Secretary, Sherri McVay, executive director of Jeb’s statewide advocacy council, and Kristy Campbell, the former governor’s press secretary, are all playing roles in Romney’s campaign.

35. DLC politicking is so lame
and this is the result it usually yields.

Sucking up to the GOP must be the most humiliating and unrewarding work ever. Maybe DLC'ers are masochists, or were never quite loved enough by their fathers. But the result is always the same. Complete and utter rejection.

Give voters a choice between a real Republican and a phony Republican and they'll pick the real one every time.

Reach out to Republicans.....
Draw back a nub!

I'm nauseated by Obama's promises of "working across the aisle".
Hillary's promised "bi-partisan" commissions to "study" Free Trade issues and Social Security frighten me.

Its NEVER a good idea for sheep to invite wolves to the table to "study" the dinner menu.

The NeoCons (and NeoLiberals) need to be exterminated before they kill our democracy.

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.
