Note to O'LOOFAH: Your war on Xmas wasn't won. It died in a whimper.
After running around taking somebody to an out-patient procedure, with delays, return trips, and finally waiting in the pharmacy section of a supermarket:

The Xmas decorations were all over but seemed frozen in time. The predictable Xmas music was turned down low. And most of all, the consumers were few, as if depleted, and they drifted lifelessly, as if sated and aimless.

So O'LOOFAH claims the so-called war on Xmas is over and that he, personally, won it. I submit it died from boredom.

1. Billy can say what he wants -- The War on Christmas was classic Wag the Dog.
He created the war, set the terms of engagement, set the battleground, invented the enemy, and declared it over when it was expedient.

2. Except for the part about declaring it over ...
... I thought you were talking about Bush and the War on Terror!
