Scaife & anti-Clinton nuts going soft on Hillary?

This is good news... should Hillary be our nominee, it looks like the rabid, kooky anti-Clinton movement leftovers MAY not have the deep-bottom pockets of Richard Scaife to fund their handiwork. What a thrill if we have LESS of that garbage to deal with.

Scaife, reclusive heir to the Mellon banking fortune, spent more than $2 million investigating and publicizing accusations about the supposed involvement of Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton in corrupt land deals, sexual affairs, drug running and murder.

But now, as Hillary Clinton is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, Scaife's checkbook is staying in his pocket.

Christopher Ruddy, who once worked full-time for Scaife investigating the Clintons and now runs a conservative online publication he co-owns with Scaife, said, "Both of us have had a rethinking."

"Clinton wasn't such a bad president," Ruddy said. "In fact, he was a pretty good president in a lot of ways, and Dick feels that way today."

As for the conservative response to Hillary Clinton's campaign, Ruddy said, "The level of intensity and anger toward Hillary is not getting to the level that it was toward Bill Clinton when he was president." He added, "She has moderated and developed a separate image."

1. Scaife knows Hillary is a servant of the ruling class, the alternative

might not be.

He also knows that the shit against the Clinton's was all manufactured, since he was the one that did it.

The real outrages of the Clinton's have never been talked about except occasionally in this board.

They will bring out their big guns after the primary, but in the meantime they have their fingers crossed we'll pick Hillary. This has been widely reported.

When they have already spent what tens, hundreds of millions? What is that gonna buy it hasn't already bought? At this point it probably makes more sense for him to attempt to play nice. I mean Scaife has taken that about as far as it could possibly go when he basically bankrolled an impeachment and a host of sham "scandals."

9. Wasn't there an article just the other day saying the opposite?

proclaiming how the right was gearing up to Swift Boat Senator Clinton? Included was a quote from a RWer about how the Swifties were the heroes of the 2004 elections...

So, I take it all with a grain of salt.
