Edited on Fri Dec-28-07 01:04 PM by GreenTea
Britney Spears type stories….something they don’t’ have to strain their brains thinking.

As for the Chronicle story itself people are obsessed and speculating about....

Just leave the fucking tiger in it's own natural habitat. Not entertainment for the boredom of stupid people with nothing to do.....I'm sure the tiger and other animals gets taughted each & everyday by bored & dumb people everywhere in the city, (SF gee, its my hometown too, born & raised, so fucking what)?

After all, these animals are taken out of their environment for our leisure time pleasure, confined and taught…as if the animals have no brains what so ever....What defines cruelty to you?

Don’t you love the way the Chronicle uses the word "beast" which has negative connotations....instead of the word animal or tiger for their sensationalistic stupid story…

The fuck got too close and the tiger did what tigers do. Sad - but end of story.....Still they announce that the family "says" a family member would never "taunt"a tiger. Get real... How in the fuck would anyone know either way....If they were partying getting fucked up, people, especially young fucks do all kinds of stupid things....sounds like their trying to help out the family in a law suit!

Anyway, I heard Britney Spears is pregnant with quadruplets and is whoring on Sunset Blvd.

No need to respond or post - Let stupid threads like this entertainment for the mindless DIE! :bounce:

43. you can buy a cub over the internet for 200 bucks. people keep
them in their backyards. as for their habitat, where is it? how many are left in the wild in siberia and in India? They will go extinct in India probably next week. unless they are taken out and kept in a few places, preferrably a zoo with a huge park for roaming, they will be gone. these wankers brought this on and now the tiger pays. isn't that the way it always is.

9. Perhaps this edited version would be more acceptable:
"A glorious tiger, being kept against its will, was taunted by two-legged scum. The glorious tiger followed the laws of Mother Nature and gently helped the two-legged scum find its reward in the hereafter. The glorious tiger was then brutally slaughtered by another member of the tribe of scum."

Yep!

That's why I never go to zoo's. The tiger did nothing wrong, he was simply being a natural predator who probably was bored as hell.

That being said, it is sad and tragic that a young man died as a result and in such a viscous way.

31. Under the circumstances, it seemed to merit repeating.
I simply cannot fathom how anyone, but anyone, could believe a tiger's natural habitat is the zoo. I mean, wrap your mind around that one. It is almost zenlike its absolute and complete absurdity.

34. Well, I certainly hope no one would ever believe that.
Personally, I regard them as a "necessary evil"; a
desperate last-ditch attempt to keep the species alive
until we develop a better plan.

I seriously doubt the whole "tell people to stop killing them"
idea will ever be successful, so what else can we do?

26. yes and no
For sure there is not much left of a tiger's natural habitat!

But I respectfully disagree lizzy, a tiger is a tiger and being born into a cage does not make the jungle any less a natural habitat. That tiger still has a natural claim to run wild and free and feel the jungle beneath his feet. Alas, a cage will always be a cage. There is nothing natural about being born to a life living in a cage.

peace~

I've listened to what the tiger experts are saying. The zoo born animals aren't going to be able to survive in the wild.
They actually need special training if somebody wants them to be released into the wild.

It's natural habitat would have been the taiga, not the jungle.

I guess it's a case of you can take the tiger out of the taiga, put you can't take the taiga out of the tiger.

40. Why are some DUers so heartless regarding the story of a teen dying
It could have happened to anyone at the zoo on CHRISTMAS DAY! People here are more sympathetic towards the tiger. It's discussions such as these that make me want to distance myself from the "liberal" label.

42. But that is where you are wrong. It could NOT have happened to anyone.
It really makes no difference whether it was Christmas or some other day. Someone was apparently doing something they shouldn't have, which the police are investigating, and one of them is dead as a result. If that is heartless and makes you want to distance yourself, then you are distancing yourself from reality.

What is lost by most people is that there are only a few hundred Siberian tigers left in the world. Once they are gone, they will never come back. This was a beautiful, magnificent, precious species that has been destroyed, at least in part, by the overpopulating of the planet by 5+ billion people.

So when you put these two things together: You have several people being investigated by the police for causing the death of one of their own and one of the most beautiful and nearly extinct large predators on the planet.

The end result was a person being mauled to death and police pushing the animal that much closer to extinction with their service pistols and a few cents worth of ammunition. That end result shouldn't be acceptable to anyone.

50. Matter of fact, leave ALL cats in their natural environment.
Stop babying the damn things. Let them run loose in the alleys and woods. Stop taking them into your homes and pretending they're your children. Let them live or die on their own. And in the name of every God that exists, stop putting pictures of them on your web sites with captions saying stupid cute things!

This from someone who knows too many people who own these little allergin-generators, who think the ammonia smell of cat urine is the finest perfume, and who can't relate to other human beings too well.
