Blitzer was not "blaming the victim"

Yesterday he interviewed a close friend of Bhutto who reported of her comments blaming Musharraf for her death - if she were killed. He added that Bhutto did not receive adequate protection. But then Blitzer pointed out that she was standing, exposed, through the sun roof of the car and the friend, angrily, said that Blitzer was "blaming the victim."

I don't think that any American president has been in an open car since November 1963.

2. She assumed she would have security

Basically Musharraf did to Bhutto what we did to Ngo Diem Ziem in Vietnam in the early 60's.

5. I doubt she was that naive. She knew she was a marked woman.

I think she just wasn't going to act afraid, no matter what.
