‘Long shot’ Kucinich scores 77% in independent voter poll
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Democratic Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich, who has been the runaway winner in polls of the Party’s progressive, grassroots base in recent weeks, scored a landslide win yesterday by capturing almost 77% of the vote in a nationwide poll sponsored by a coalition of Independent voting groups across the country.

Of the more than 80,000 votes cast for Democratic candidates at

http://www.independentprimary.com by self-described independent voters, the Ohio Congressman received 61,477 – more than three times the combined total of all the other candidates. Former Senator John Edwards came in second with only 7,614 votes, or 9.5 percent. Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were third and fourth respectively.

Sure it's an internet poll, but the people on the internet are the ones that have been paying attention. Intelligent people realize the corporate media is lying and are looking for the truth on the internet. The intelligent motivated people also happen to be the ones that show up to the primaries. WE cannot allow the corporate media to decide this primary for us. They are attempting manufactured reality. They fix the polls and tell us who will win, then they fix the election as well. Don't fall for it DUers. If you live in a caucus state- especially Iowa- gather your friends and make sure everyone you know attends and votes for the one candidate with credibility. You WILL make a difference.

3. As a Kucinich supporter,
I have a hard time getting other DUers to engage in a discussion of issues, as they can't counter Dennis's positions to save their lives.

5. And yet we're meant to believe he's unelectable.
So much of this talk turns to self-fulfilling prophecy. The only thing holding Kucinich back is his appearance of unelectability. A strong primary showing would turn that notion on its ear. If Kucinich represents your views more than the other democratic candidates, you'd be shooting yourself in the foot by not voting for him. This is what primaries are for.

13. The Democratic vote + the independent vote = a win.
He's got the independent vote. If his own party honored and supported him for supporting the Constitution and Democratic principles, he'd certainly get their vote.

8. "Intelligent people " laugh at Internet polls
By your reasoning... "intelligent people also voted for Ron Paul and Cynthia McKinney as the choice in their respective parties.

Yeah... that's a real "intelligent" poll alright... Kucinich, Paul and McKinney. :eyes:

9. I do believe the more intelligent Republicans are for Ron Paul
And I think he will actually win the Republican nomination if they do not steal it. Lucky for him Ron Paul supporters are already organizing to make sure the vote is counted correctly. We need to do the same for our Democratic primaries.

12. The problem isn't the "intelligent" people who pay attention
It's the rest of the country that doesn't pay attention, that votes with the crowd, or for whatever candidate has a campaign commercial that really makes them "think."
