If WE were responsible for Bhutto returning to Pakistan WHY DIDN'T WE INSIST THAT HER SECURITY DEMANDS BE MET?????

she was in self-imposed exile presumably for fear of her life... and we coaxed her back

~snip~ For Benazir Bhutto, the decision to return to Pakistan was sealed during a telephone call from Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice just a week before Bhutto flew home in October. The call culminated more than a year of secret diplomacy — and came only when it became clear that the heir to Pakistan's most powerful political dynasty was the only one who could bail out Washington's key ally in the battle against terrorism.~snip

~snip~KARACHI (Reuters) - Benazir Bhutto said on Monday Pakistan's government has not provided adequate security to protect her after an assassination attempt that killed 139 of her supporters and police escort.

The government suspects Islamist militants were behind Friday's attack on the former prime minister, who returned from eight years of self-imposed exile on Oct. 18.

6. Because the mis-administration actually trusts Musharrof. I think that
they actually expect that because they paid Pakistan billions of $$$'s, tons of military hardware and provided them with endless intelligence reports that somehow they will be faithful to BushCo mis-administration interests.
