Another Bhutto conspiracy? Pakistani paper just pulled story on her sister in law's death yesterday
Edited on Tue Jan-01-08 08:51 PM by calipendence

Apparently Bhutto's sister in law Naheed just died yesterday in an auto accident, apparently according to an earlier published report from a Pakistani paper that appears to be subsequently censored, but not before a blog site and Yahoo's cache had got the content off of it.

http://benazibhutto.blogspot.com/2007/12/bbs-relative-killed-in-accident.html

Interesting that it looks to be removed from this Pakistani newspaper after being spidered by Google earlier:

http://news.google.com/news?sourceid=mozilla2&oe=utf-8&um=1&tab=wn&hl=en&q=%22Naheed+Bhutto%22&btnG=Search+News

And that link on that page goes to a page with no content in it:

http://thepost.com.pk/NatNews.aspx?dtlid=136717&catid=2

Here was the cached version from Yahoo (Google didn't have it cached), that basically is the same content of what is showing in the above blog link:

http://66.218.69.11/search/cache?ei=UTF-8&p=%22Naheed+Bhutto%22&y=Search&fr=yfp-t-501&u=www.thepost.com.pk/NatNews.aspx%3Fdtlid%3D136717%26catid%3D2&w=%22naheed+bhutto%22&d=R-WCjLXiQDWj&icp=1&.intl=us

I'm going to include this story in-line, just in case it gets "purged" from these other two sites too:

BB’s sister-in-law dies in accident

Nazir Siyal

LARKANA: Former prime minister and PPP chairperson (Late) Benazir Bhutto's sister in-law (Bhabi) Naheed Bhutto along with three other employees including driver of Pajero jeep died in a road accident near Jamshoro said Riaz Bhutto the state manager of Benazir Bhutto.

According to the state manager of Late Benazir Bhutto, four people including BB's sister-in-law (Bhabi) Naheed Khan wife of Imdad Khan Bhutto, who is the cousin of Benazir Bhutto and three other employees including driver Muharam Soomro, Rasool Bux and Haji Rabnawaz were died here in road accident.

Found this link with a pic of "Naheed Bhutto", though it claims this is the nickname of this person here, which doesn't sound like the same person as her sister-in-law...

2. Pulling the story certainly makes it seem suspicious...
but, have you ever seen how they drive in Pakistan and India? It could just be a coincidence...though the timing certainly is bad...

3. It might be nothing, but I thought it weird that suddenly it "disappears" from this news site...
Edited on Tue Jan-01-08 09:06 PM by calipendence
Perhaps it was a false report, but then again, perhaps it was yet another piece in this big puzzle that seems to be getting as mysterious as the JFK assassination all of the time.

I wouldn't have even seen it, except when I was going through wikipedia to add entries to the 2007 deaths thread on DU earlier. Clicked on the wikipedia link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaths_in_December_2007

to learn more, and that's what got me kind of thinking something weird was happening. I'm guessing that many people who've pointed to this article don't realize yet that its "missing", since it just got published yesterday.

4. I agree, it seems odd...and with the attention on all things
concerning the Bhutto family, it would seem very hard to try to cover this up.

However, they did try to claim Benazir died ducking into her vehicle, so...

Maybe they are trying to limit the release of the info so as not to stoke the fires that are already burning?

5. Perhaps rec it up to greatest page so we can get more Pakistanis to comment here...
... who might know more to tell whether this is nothing or perhaps there is something there there that might make this a suspicious event.

9. It does look interesting that the bio on that other link and this story both mention Larkana...
Which might mean that the person mentioned on that other web site is indeed the same person, but it could be more of an influence on her "nickname" too, with Naheed Bhutto being from that town as well.

Note that the wikipedia entry just got deleted a bit ago.

Three including wife of BB’s cousin dies in road mishap

RT Monitoring Desk
KARACHI: Naheed Bhutto, wife of Benazir Bhutto’s cousin Imdad Bhuttoalong with two other persons died in a road mishap on Monday near Thermal Power House, a private TV Channel reported. They were on the way to Larkana from Karachi, when their vehicle overturned near Thermal Power. Dead bodies were transported to Naudero.
The were in BB’s personal car which was being drive in by her personal driver Munawar Soomro.
Naheed Bhutto has also been conducting BB’s election campaign.

Interesting that this article ties her more to Benazir Bhutto and her election campaign. Hmmm!!!....

Another story... I'll keep adding them here so that they don't just "go away" and we lose info.

The original link story has changed on this one.

12. Another interesting link...
has her name as Shabnam Nahid Bhutto instead. It's also been removed too from the link that turns up in google news hits. Found this one though from the web hits:

http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2008%5C01%5C01%5Cstory_1-1-2008_pg7_26

Wife of BB’s first cousin killed in road accident

Hyderabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shaukat said Shabnam Nahid Bhutto, wife of Imdad Ali Bhutto, and Imdad’s three employees were killed near Petaro toll plaza on the Indus Highway. app

This one quotes a formal announcement by the Deputy Inspector General announcing their deaths.

Here's another. Perhaps they were killing the other stories to do spelling corrections?...
