2. I agree, unfortunately the most qualified candidate will not be chosen.
I have never on this board mentioned who I support, but I always thought that Senator Biden was getting the short end of the stick. He is an exceptional Senator with an extensive record. His knowledge, no matter who gets the Pres., will not go untapped.

4. If Joe doesn't get the nom, and if somehow the Dems don't win, I will be one
of those looking back and wondering why we didn't nominate Joe Biden. And I'll be really pissed.

But if he DOESN'T get the nom and we win, I will enthusiastically give credit to all of you -- as well as the new President -- for your wisdom and foresight.

7. Off the top of my head I can tell you he's pro union. He believes that without
unions, there is no middle class. Here's a clip from the AFL-CIO debate:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ-QczkEvB4

Since this is a debate, he was asked questions about a variety of issues, but you should be able to get an idea.

Here's a link to an AFL-CIO blog

http://blog.aflcio.org/2007/05/17/biden-unions-created-americas-middle-class/

And this is from On the Issues:

In 2005 Biden's record was 93%, Clinton's 86%, and Obama's 100%. In 2006 Biden tied Clinton & Obama, with all of them voting with the AFL CIO 93% of the time.

If you'd like additional info or sources, let me know. I'm always pleased to answer questions about Biden -- he consistently does "the right thing" across the board.

6. "If Democrats don't want to lose this election then they should just nominate Joe Biden or
Chris Dodd that have a 80% chance of winning."

Wow!
