That was one of the things that got the populous in an uproar over Vietnam. The military-industrial-complex learned their lesson w/that war.

So now the media is paid for so they don't bother showing those awful pictures on TV.

won't let pictures of the flag-draped coffins coming home as we saw daily during Viet Nam. (They come into the base at Delaware - Biden's state). A local family had asked him to go with them to pick up their son's remains and they tried to stop him from coming on the base because of his being a Senator. He's livid that our country is being lied to about the realities of this occupation.

So yes, the public needs to be shown the truth of what this administration has done, and the tragic loss of life it's responsible for.

My point was that we here on DU ARE aware, and as heartbroken and enraged as the poster.

This sounds odd - but I felt seeing that picture was kind of an invasion of that person's privacy, and I don't really understand why I reacted that way.

But that was my reason for my post.

But WE are not the only readers of these posts.

I know that you need no reminding. Neither do I. The image is painful to the both of us.

And still serves as a reminder as to why we continue to fight?
