Just went to Edwards/ Mellencamp rally it was fantastic!!

I am in Iowa volunteering for John ..knocking on doors..and it is exhilarating..and i just went to the John Mellencamp concert and rally with John Edwards..

Johns entire family was there..Elizabeth spoke and was so wonderful..

Jean Smart was there and spoke..


it was great..

there were over 5,000 people there..i was told by one of the guys working the door for security..

the electricity in the audience was awesome!!

people were chanting JOHN JOHN JOHN!!

i won't be responding to this because to tell the truth , i am dang tired!!..and need to get sleep as we will be starting with John at 830 am!!

it will be a long day tommorrow and i want to get to as many doors as possible!!

..i only have this left to say............

haven't heard him tonight. Been searching the internet for a clip of the spoeech tonight. Nothing. Not a thing. I am so bummed. But glad for you of course.:shrug:

they hope we will know the winner by 11 pm here..but that is not a guarentee.

Were you one of the volunteers working the event? I was stationed at the second set of doors. Not the main doors where they were taking tickets, but the doors right next to them.

It was packed to the limits of the venue. John Mellencamp was great!

James Denton and Madelaine Stowe were there too. I met Madelaine a couple of months ago and talked to her a lot on New Years Eve. She is so smart. She is also very pretty. My husband was in heaven when he met her. She's so genuine. I met James Denton awhile back, too. He is great. He wore a John Edwards for President t-shirt to the Emmy's! What a great supporter he is!

It was such a fun night.

I'll be out tomorrow too. Then I need to study up on my precinct captain materials before going to my caucus. It's been so busy the past week and I haven't had a chance to even look at it yet.

It is going to be very exciting tomorrow night.

canvassing from 830 this morn till 630 tonight and got to eat and go to concert..

I was at the volunteer party monday night and John came there to thank us..and he even spoke to a friend of mine in conn. on my cell and wished her happy new years!!..a fellow DU'er...

and yesterday John and Elizabeth came to the steelworkers union shop where i was working out of ..they got there right when i got back from canvassing..i have seen them every day this week..and will see them again at 830 am at the steelworkers union shop again..they will see us off to canvassing..

i met James Denton last night at the steelworkers shop and I talked to jean Smart as well..she was at the Steel workers alot yesterday..and she is staying at my hotel and i was talking to her before we all left the hotel for the concert/rally..

its been great fun..last night Joe Trippi sat with our table in a local restaurant..he was very sweet, but looked very tired..tonight i saw him in the bar and he looked better rested.

it has been great..i could not be happier working for anyone than John Edwards and the wonderful people of Iowa!!

Come on Iowa ..bring it in for John!!

I can't tell you how much it means to me that you are in Iowa right now helping us. It means the world.

Maybe we can meet tomorrow at the victory party? That would be cool.

i forgot the name ..but i am with a group now from oregon..and upstate NY that drive me ...i won't drive in this snow and icy roads!!..

i will pm you and give you my cell number..call me after 6 pm and i will tell you where we are all going..but then again i may be an observer ..and an info advisor..so tommorrow will be crazy..but i will give you my cell number..if i am in a caucus ..i won't be able to answer..but otherwise i will..if i only go to where the results are being called in..

Thank you for doing this. Traveling from Florida to help Team Edwards, that rocks. It's really inspiring.

When I was doing my volunteer work in New Hampshire, I met people from all over the Northeast. Meeting activists like you truly inspire me.

the recognition that he didn't get before! I DON'T care what the "pundits" say, Edwards was out-spent by GOBS of money.. Gongrats to Obama, but time will tell... going the distance ain't gonna be easy!

I'm PROUD of Edwards and think many will begin to realize MSM was WRONG!! My wish is that people can "see" what went on, and Edwards will NOW be mentioned like Obama & Clinton were every single day!!

MSM, it's time to see that Edwards and his message is better than YOU thought!
