History is Happening
This election has the weight of history. As the votes start to be cast, we can step back from the minutia of policies and personalities of Our leading candidates for a bit of perspective. The Democratic Candidates have spent the past year delivering messages of hope and change. They have charged forward with plans for Universal Health Care Coverage, Education Reform, Environmental Protections, Elimination of Poverty, Restoring the Constitution, Ending the Occupation and more.

The Republicans have delivered sermons on fear, terror, illegal people, wars and worse of the same.

Our candidates swam upstream to get where they are. Realize for a moment that Our three most prominent candidates are: A Woman, A Black Man, and A Populist. That spells change. Accepting all the valid criticisms of these three candidates, when the Democratic Nominee has been chosen it will be a proud and significant day in history.

I look forward to standing and supporting the Democratic Nominee. When we vote them into office as The President of Our country, it will be something we can tell our grandkids.

1. Great post, tekisui...
While I may disagree with each of our candidates on certain points I like all of them. And in the end, I will be voting for the Democratic Platform.

2. I like messages of hope
and this is pure unadulterated hope, the kind I can hang my faith in my fellow wo/man on.
I believe we are at the precipice of a time that will be determining the future of our country, good or bad. I'll be working toward the good, I'll just take our constitution with a side of the bill of rights as they are written meaning what they say.

I say this will be the year that bushco goes down

5. I'm a thinking we need to pay attention to the congress critters to see if we can categorize them
as if they are compromised showing proof of that by their actions and votes. when I say compromised I really mean being blackmailed using info that very well may be the result of illegal wiretaps etc by the bush cabal. I think there is some who aren't compromised and they are the ones we need to be getting our message out to, imo

4. While the optimism is encouraging ...
I thought the Nov 06 election had the weight of history. Full of hope, but ...

Dead, inert, weight.
