Sun Signs of the Democratic Candidates
Here are the Sun Signs of our Democratic Presidential Candidates. Ignore them. Use the knowledge to help you choose. Laugh at the silliness. Ponder on the possibilities. Regardless, here they are:

Joe Biden - November 16, 1942 - Scorpio

Hillary Clinton - October 26, 1947 - Scorpio

Chris Dodd - May 27, 1944 - Gemini

John Edwards - June 10, 1953 - Gemini

Mike Gravel - May 13, 1930 - Taurus

Dennis Kucinich - October 8, 1946 - Libra

Barack Obama - August 4, 1961 - Leo

Bill Richardson - November 15, 1947 - Scorpio

5. Me either
For fighting, Scorpios are good. For fairness, Libras are good. For economic policy, Tauruses are good. For kindness, Geminis are good. For charisma, Leos are good.

I won't go into the bad. People always take it personally when I mention the bad aspects of their particular Sun sign. :)

2. Ha. Maybe Mr Scorpio should run
since that's the prevalent sun sign among the candidates.

:D

4. Kucinich and Jesse Jackson and I have the same birthday
and I feel strongly connected to both of them... strong sense of justice is fundamental to people born on October 8.

25. There's a long blog about Scorpio in the Pets Forum
about how he came to me and now resides happily with my mother.

If you care to read it:

10. As would be Richardson's and Biden's
Just to be fair (Libra here).

Sun signs are just part of the equation. There are other things to consider such as one's moon sign (emotional aspect) and one's rising sign (public perception of the person). I am no astrological expert. I'm just laying this info out there in order to break the damned tension around here.

13. Caps are great for getting stuff done
They are the ones that do those tedious, grudging tasks that nobody else wants to do. They can also be...oops. Wasn't going to say the bad things. :p

15. I'm no fanatic
But I do believe that the time of year one is born plays into one's personality. For example, a Libra is born at the time of year when most folks are celebrating the harvest and enjoying the fruits of their labor. Libras tend to be natural hosts and give great parties...

My Mother was a Capricorn. I know caps very well.

16. Well...
... it was 4 below zero in Beckley the day I was born, and I was two weeks late. I am still apt to throw the comforter over my head and sleep in this time of year.

"Yo mama is a Capricorn!"

Never heard that one before.

GWB is a Cancer. I know them well, too. I love my Dad but he has his bad traits and Bush is like a bad Cancer on steroids.

18. Well, That Explains...
... a lot.

Just kidding. Still: you had to learn to dwell in both extremes.

As a Capricorn, I figured out pretty early (read: "immediately after learning that babies take nine months") that you could just about perfectly count nine months from my parents' anniversary.

One month short of nine months. Whoopsie! All of a sudden he was deemed a preemie. Yeah, right Mom and Dad. :)

21. Someone Wrote the Wrong Year...
... in the family Bible for my parents' anniversary, which would've made me an "iffy" oldest.

Turns out it was an honest mistake; but - trying to get my mom's "goat" (Cap that I am) - I did go to the courthouse to look up the marriage license.

24. Capricorn, eh?
Brian's Mother: What star sign is he?
Wise Man #2: Capricorn.
Brian's Mother: Capricorn, eh? What are they like?
Wise Man #2: He is the son of God, our Messiah.
Wise Man #1: King of the Jews.
Brian's Mother: And that's Capricorn, is it?
Wise Man #3: No, no, that's just him.
Brian's Mother: Oh, I was going to say, otherwise there'd be a lot of them.

:)

20. Clearly this means there'll be a 3 way tie
because Scorpio beats Leo and Libra, while Leo beats Gemini, and Libra beats scissorsTaurus.

So, in the playoff for the title of Most Powerful Person in the World, rather than consider the geometry of planets determined by the inverse square law of gravity (or the General Theory of Relativity, depending on your preference), let's allow the weak nuclear force determine it, and measure the radioactivity of each candidate's body.
