1. In Other Words,
if Ron Paul doesn't get 15%, his supporters will walk right over to the Kucinich sign, where they will be promptly sent to support Obama?

This is going to be complicated. I'm glad it's being televised so we can see how the sausage is really made.

3. Not gonna happen
You are only admitted to the Caucus that you are a registered party member for.

2. No
According to my Iowa sister they are held in separate locations just like a precinct meeting would be held for each party.

Way too much vigorous discussion and debate to fit both parties into a single location. Maybe the same building, but definitely separate rooms if they do.

She'll be glad when the TV stations get back to running the usual schedule of pesticide commercials targeting the farmers there. She said they get up to 10 push poll call a day, all from the Dem candidates. She and her husband are all registered Dems out amid the corn and pig farms.

4. I don't believe they are held in the same locations, as they are run by the Parties

Also, the Democratic caucus is an open caucus; the Republican one is a closed caucus.

8. NPR had a pretty good description of how it all works...
iirc, each ED has its own little caucus, or maybe more, in places volunteered to the party. Many of these are people's homes.

Repulicans just drop off their "ballots" and leave. Democrats vote and then go for the "second choice" option. So, Republicans spend five minutes caucusing, while Democrats can be tied up for three or four hours-- that could mean a lot. Or maybe not-- who knows...
