Official Democratic Mascot to be Chosen at the National Western
The National Western Stock Show will host the official mascot contest for the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver.The contest will be conducted during the National Western Draft Horse and Mule Show, 7 p.m. Jan. 26 in the National Western Events Center. The contest is open to youths under 18 and their donkeys that are entered in other portions of the National Western Mule & Donkey Show. Judging will be conducted by a special celebrity selection panel. The winner of the contest will serve as the official mascot for the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver next August.

4. We've (unofficially) had one since 1828 or 1837 or 1870, they just want a real donkey for photo ops
