I thought I was gonna be sick when I saw
"The Left's New Hit List" on the front page of the Washington Post this morning. So here's my letter to them.
To the Editor:
I was disgusted to read the title "The Left's New Hit List" on the front page of the February 21 issue of your paper. Can I infer from this that requiring your representative to represent you; to make your opinions known; to mount a spirited primary challenge in order to allow your district's populace the chance to choose the person who most closely reflects their views--democracy itself--is now akin to murder?
I look forward to reading an article about conservative pundits' calls for the murder of a Supreme Court justice (Ann Coulter), the democratically elected leader of a sovereign country (Pat Robertson), or the entire city of San Francisco (Bill O'Reilly). Then we can see the difference between the left's and right's "hit lists." Until then, save such mean-spirited taglines for your rival paper, please.
Here's hoping it gets published.
