Repubs do not have a clue when it comes to insuring all Americans...
Romney says we don't need the government involved to insure everyone. Uncle Fred says we won't ever insure everyone, and if we do the quality of healthcare will suffer. And they laugh at Ron Paul for pointing out that spending $1 trillion on the war overseas means we don't have that money to spend on healthcare. They are detached from reality...

:grr: they want to subsidize the health insurance industry.... where an insurance company can deny payment so someone can die from not getting a bone marrow transplant. These people piss me the hell off.

4. I Strongly Dislike Romney, but...
... the plan in MA is one of the more elegant policy solutions I've seen to a complex problem in a long while. New Hampshire residents who work in MA are hearing from their friends and co-workers about how surprisingly well the plan is working. Don't forget that an overwhelmingly Democratic Legislature passed that program in MA. I don't like Rommey, but I have to give him due credit for signing the MA plan into law. - Dave

13. In 2006 the UK's NHS had 1.3 million empoyees
The total population of the USA is c. 5 times greater than that of the UK which implies you'd need to employ anything up to 6.5 million people to run the equivalent health service in the USA. Good luck. If nothing else I guess it would put a dent in your unemployment figures.
