I tuned in when I was bored with football and I can't turn away. It was when they were discussing the Bush Doctrine and supporting it. I don't like Ron Paul (govt is the enemy)but he was the only one grounded on the issue. they refused to listen McCain openly laughed at him. The Health care questions made me want to scream.

thompson suggested that there are people that can afford health insurance but refuse to pay it and Romney expanded with an example of someone making $100,000 and not paying for health insurance. Who can make $100,000 a year at a job that doesn't provide health insurance? It doesn't exist. The uninsured aren't wealthy people gambling with their health. There was no concept of anyone working but too poor to have health care, no idea of the millions struggling to survive without that expense let alone a system, all of their plans it seems, where they would have to pay for insurance all by themselves? And that if only they were fit then all health problems would cease? thin don't get sick? Really? Gibson started the question by saying that every other industrialized nation has all of their citizens insured and they all then asserted that this country has the best health care in the world. Yes, if you can afford it. People travel here for it sure but you can live right next door to the hospital but not be allowed in. Madness.

I haven't watched any debates yet of either side but this one is blowing my mind. they actually believe this shit?

As a strategy for attracting GOP votes, it really didn't make sense, until I considered the fact that he was speaking at to an audience of both GOPers and Democrats - a two-party debate.

Thompson really is clueless. He has no business whatsoever on a national stage.
