US citizens shouldn't be talking about 2008 election yet
we should be united telling our representatives to fix Iraq, Afghanistan, Al Qaida, and Iran before they come abegging for our votes and dollars. If they're not up to the task before them, don't bother asking for a 2008 slot.

1. Fix Iran? You think our Reps should fix Iran? How?
So if they don't "fix Iran" before 08 then we just forgo the election?

4. Thats not what I said, I said we should stay on message
that the current disaster is more important than their political ambitions for 2008.

Fix Iran, how about deescalating the hostilities between our countries by trying diplomacy.
Recall Rice and get a competent SOS.

5. OK, I'm for that. But the 08 election gives us a chance to hold them to the fire
on these issues.

2. Screw 2008
I'm shocked we're not talking about 2032 yet, and the current 10 year old who might consider running after throwing out a trial balloon to see if running for office is something to consider.

3. Well, US citizens are an unruly lot and frequently do whatever the hell
they feel like which appears to include talking about the 2008 election.

All the candidates are running around the country campaigning which I'm sure fuels the chatter by those US citizens.
