Join us then when a good part of the country will make this decision for Oregonians as well as other states.

It should be a great day, and the first day of our 36th year together. Audio Al and I will celebrate our 35th Anniversary on the evening of Monday, February 4, 2008. Here's the celebration and the only photo we have of our wedding day 2/4/73.

PS. We get to mail in our primary votes in May 2008.

Vote Hearty, Americans!

In peace,

Radio Lady in Oregon

2. Thanks. It's the one photograph we have of the ceremony.

We didn't have a photographer -- just the two of us, all the kids, two witnesses and a rabbi. Our "reception" was at the International House of Pancakes in Framingham, Massachusetts. We had some kind of a honeymoon the following June at the Newton, Mass. Marriott.

Still involved with "Kimball & Company" on Oregon Public Broadcasting's Accessible Information Network.

I'm interviewing authors and reviewing films on a weekly basis, at least for now.

Thanks for asking!

Remembering back to former election years:

I did primary election coverage in January 1972 (or was it possibly early February) from Dade County, Florida. I had taken over Larry King's 11PM to 5AM shift when he was arrested in December 1971. (He was never indicted or convicted; it was a money matter that went sour.)

1972 is the year I might have gone for a NYC job with CBS -- I met Leslie Stahl behind the scenes when I did some radio coverage, and she encouraged me to contact the network. However, with two small children ages one and two, I passed it up.

By the early spring, I learned that CBS Boston had an opening for a woman, interviewed for the job on April 28, and started working on May 15, 1972 on WEEI. So I was with a CBS owned-and-operated station with some prestige and better hours -- and a salary that kept the three of us and one Cocker Spaniel dog alive.

14. UPDATE: I met a Marine at the gym today... probably in his late 30s.
He had USMC tattooed on his arm. After some hesitant discussion, he told me he was torn by two sides. He believes we should have gone into Afghanistan, but not into Irag. He also revealed he was a Democrat and he really likes Hillary! That was quite a surprise!

and then, again, we may not.
