Edwards' all-night express returns
SUNDAY, JANUARY 6, 2008

Blitzing across New Hampshire in hopes of pulling out a surprisingly strong finish, Democrat John Edwards is replaying the no-doze strategy he deployed in the final days before the Iowa caucuses.

Edwards, a former North Carolina senator who finished second in Iowa but trails Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in polls here, will barnstorm New Hampshire on a 36-hour continuous bus tour his campaign dubs the "Marathon for the Middle Class.” The fun - or agony, depending on your point of view - starts in Manchester at noon today and is scheduled to end after midnight Tuesday in Portsmouth.

To keep him company, or maybe just awake, Edwards is bringing several friends along for the ride, including his wife Elizabeth, several of the "real people" whose stories he tells on the campaign trail and actors Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon . . .

3. I wish he would not bring celebrities with him
because that reminds me of the two other candidates. I find this very negative that he is doing this and a real turn off, and I am planning on voting for him her in Maryland.

5. let me say this about the celebs with Edwards..they are working their asses off..
They are not there for fluff..they are answering phones..they are shaking hands all day and all night..they are pepping up the volunteers..and talking with the Union Folks..they are hands on and working very hard for Edwards..because they believe in him..

I watched them greet each and every volunteer..every day early morning till late late at night..in Iowa..they were no different than any of the other volunteers..they shook hands ..thanked everyone..and they were great moral support for all the union people and volunteers!

and they were incredible with all the people they met in Iowa..i watched them on the street going door to door..and shaking hands and hugs with Iowans..and they were incredibly sincere.
