Katrina vs. Obama
Why was America so racist as to do nothing for the black people of New Orleans when Katrina hit, but now we're so suddenly progressive that we're going to elect a black man as our president?

I think it show what a wonderful and powerful country we are that we can change so quickly after all these hundreds of years of racism. Think of how slow those attitudes changed during the last century. Even my own grandparents, although progressive, were ingrained in the structured of their era, using words like "colored".

The answer as to what changed it all overnight? one word - "hope". It shows how powerful "hope" is.

I "hope" we win.

2. I'm sure thousands of people donated money
when Katrina hit to the Red Cross and there was an overwhelming feeling of outrage, I know I felt it. Just because the Bush-Cheney regine did nothing, doesn't mean the whole population approved of what they did.

6. I thought most people cared
about Katrina (except those in power- to do something)

and allot still doing things to help!!! so linking Obama and Katrina is way off

and to say most Americans are Racist is wrong
