edwards as a republican choice

I can't post a poll since i dont have a star.

but here is a question

do you think that edwards is more electable in the general election because he is a caucasion male? I'm not sexist, I'm not racist but traditionally we have had rich white male presidents and I think that alot of republicans are taking this into account when looking at the democratic nominess. Do you think because of edwards race and sex he has an automatic leg up with the republicans.

I think the religious wingnuts have their candidate in Huckabee, and the corporate GOPers aren't going to flock to JE.

I haven't been paying enough attention to the talking heads to have noticed that.

"Breck Girl" ring a bell? Obama has more of a chance to win GOpers over, despite his race, than Edwards does. GOPers do not like perceived "girlie-men", and that's how he'll be painted in the general. Mean, but true.

he will be able to fight them on a lot of issues but they are planting road blocks. I believe they really are afraid of Hillary and that's why they always talk about her and have for years. I have never understood how some women hate her because she did not divorce Bill and most of these women are the so called family values people. Hannity and the other right wingers have been spending half of their shows on her for years. Some of their people call cspan and other talk shows and tell us how they hate her and use the same talking points that the rightwing nuts have been using for years. Some people only hate her because it has been pounded in their heads for years about how to look at her. They also know that there are a lot new voters who don't really pay attention to politics and they believe what they are told if they are told it long enough

but a vote would be interesting. the reason why clinton won was because people in the south viewed him as a neighbor. it would be short sighted to think that the dems wouldnt take this into consideration.

Obama appealed to a lot of white voters in Iowa.


He also has the potential to help bring minority voters to the polls, and I think that this is true not only of blacks, but to some extent of other minorities as well, and that because of this he may well be more electable than other Democratic candidates.

Off the subject: What is being done to fight the caging being done by the Republicans across the country? All our people ought to be reading the riot act about this. I haven't even heard Obama speak out against what is going on. Make no mistake: the Republicans are gearing up to steal their third presidential election in a row.
