Since no one is above the law, what methods of accountability would you apply
to past and present members of this criminal administration?

What methods are available to counter the politicized corruption that is preventing accountability?

1. What rock have you been hiding under?

:)

There is no "law" currently. If you have the force, you can have it. I've often pointed out that we on the dem side have rolled over to the point that GWB could invite the press to the Whitehouse front lawn, rape a child while they filmed it, kill said child, then throw the body on the grill for their appetizers...and it's quite probable that nothing would come of it.

Nothing makes me sweat more right now than the fact that these idiots are in charge, and the law doesn't apply to them!

5. I don't agree that nothing would come of it.
Some Democratic senator or congressperson would mildly criticize it, followed by the the entire national Democratic leadership falling all over themselves to denounce their fellow Democrat's criticism, followed by a chastened statement of apology from the aforementioned Democrat.

influencing these criminals is that of fascism.

It may take massive civil action (supported by law enforcement and our military) and the rallying point certainly is our Constitution-not any "interpretation" of it by corrupt politicized officials.

The messages sent by the people when we "elected new leadership" have been ignored-as have our continuing messages.

No one is above the law, Hydra.

So what are some of the things we can do?

on edit: I think that all the paper passed at every level since 1-20-2001 should not be recognized, including the creation of new Departments and Offices, Executive Orders, Signing Statements, all of it-because so much of it was designed to prevent accountability.

9. I have to argue with you there
Lets start with what laws are:

law
1. the principles and regulations established in a community by some authority and applicable to its people, whether in the form of legislation or of custom and policies recognized and enforced by judicial decision.
2. any written or positive rule or collection of rules prescribed under the authority of the state or nation, as by the people in its constitution. Compare bylaw, statute law.
3. the controlling influence of such rules; the condition of society brought about by their observance: maintaining law and order.
4. a system or collection of such rules.

Basically, a law is a rule. A rule is an opinion with force behind it.

Do we have the force? Not right now. Too many people are afraid of the unknown results of any changes we might make.

Does Bushco have the force? Yup. They have Blackwater, the national guard, the police, they control the money, they can control the means of distribution and to top it off, if they designated a particular group a threat, most people would attack that group.

That makes them "The Law."

What can we do about it? Well, for starters, are you willing to bleed?

"If you're not ready to die for it, take the word "freedom" out of your vocabulary."

2. Treat them like terrorists - freeze all assets and house arrest until
investigations into 911, Iraq and a billion other 'things' can be explored without BFEE interference.

4. Which candidate is making torture a #1 issue?
I don't see this happening. To me, GITMO is #1 of things that need changing - above EVERYTHING else.

The silence is deafening.
